Caverject - Alprostadil - PGE1 - The Heart of Chemical Penis Enlargement
Caverject is the brand name for the pharmaceutical drug named alprostadil, and also prostaglandin E1 (PGE1). It is prescribed to men with erectile dysfunction. There is a risk of priapism, which is a painful prolonged erection when the injected dose is too high. In that case antihistamines like phenylephrine are injected or taken orally, or a visit to the emergency room is required. But for purposes of chemical penis enlargement, a prolonged erection for between 2-6 hours per session is favorable, and repeated several times per week for a total of 10+ hours of erection time. By forcing the penis to swell for long hours every week, the maximum size is increased since alprostadil also affects the collagen in the penis, by making the penile tissues to be more flexible at the cellular level. This added flexibility is gradual, and painful (in my case). I frequently experience pain during the induced priapsim, and in my mind it is because the tissues are stretching past their maximum limits (I do not have any scientific proof of this). The pain of caverject apparently does not affect everyone, but it does to me. Because there is no other negative side effects (that I know of) except for pain, I continue with the injections. I don't experience pain with normal erections, except when I flex my dick really hard (and then I definitely know I am stretching my normal limits!).
My starting dose was very low at 7 IU of a standard 20mcg bottle of caverject, which at times gave me 6 hour erections (and lots of pain!). But eventually my dose was not enough for an hour of erection time, so I started increasing. I hit a new plateau at my new dose every few months, and over the course of 18 months my current dose is 66 IU! Each bottle has around 110 IU, so consumption increased as my penis grew bigger. I haven't found a study of penis size versus alprostadil injection dose, but for me the bigger I got, the more I required. Perhaps the tissue concentration of PGE1 must be at a certain level, and penis size affects this concentration (that's my logic). But in real terms, I pay much more for the caverject per month than I did when I started. Does anyone out there know more on alprostadil? I love listening to experts.
According to caverject.com, the drug is not to be injected everyday. However, from experience and from expert advice, there were no serious side effects if done so. Scar tissue can form at the injection sites, and if allowed to accumulate (by not jelqing them out) then erect curvature can form. Research grade alprostadil can be obtained, but unsterilized and usually in large quantities (by the milligram). Injected PGE1 is on the microgram scale, from 5 - 100 mcg per dose. Since 1 mg is 1000 mcg, proper accurate dosing is tricky. I prefer to spend more on the pharmacy brand, since I am not an expert on compounding pharmaceuticals.
That's it for now!
