Mixing DMSO and Potaba
Potaba has a high solubility in DMSO. Creating a saturated solution in 70% DMSO is most effective in delivering the most Potaba transdermally, yet a whitish residue can form when too much is allowed to dry on the penis. Too much can dry out the penis skin, so a skin soother should be added later.
Since this solution is drying to the skin, there are a few additives that can be applied after dmso/potaba, or mixed in the solution. These are pure aloe vera gel, and pure vitamin E oil. I prefer to apply the emollient after dmso, just so I know the quantity I am using.
Dmso/potaba can sting broken skin, so avoid using it until all has healed.
If 100% dmso is used, be sure to dilute it 7:3 ratio. Pure dmso is not as effective transdermal carrier as when diluted to 70%. Use distilled water.
When dmso mixes with water, it produces an exothermic reaction hot enough to dissolve potaba to supersaturation. Heat increases solute solubility, but the heat does not last long. Prediluted dmso is cold, which may increase the mixing/shaking time for dissolution to 5 minutes. Solid particles in small quantities at the bottom of the eyedropper bottle is ok.
Eyedropper bottle application is what I do. Only a few drops are needed to wet the penis, and this is the most accurate way of dispensing the solution. Since dmso is an organic solvant, avoid using plastic containers to store it in unless is is chemical resistant. I have amber glass eyedroppers to keep light from affecting the contents just to be safe.
No negative side effects of potaba are noted (like hypoglycemia and fat gain) when applied topically. Good news for us, since fat gain reduces penile apparent size. But that is best left for another post.
